Pictures with Avo Uvesian, Miss Santiago and Pete Johnson  We were seated among cigar retailers, enthusiasts, brand managers and manufacturers from as far as Australia Europe and the States. Traditional foods, beverages and desserts filled the menu as we mingled with friends. Sam, Russ and I gobbled down delicious pork roasted over hot coals fresh breads, pasta and sea bass. Manuel Quesada, Jose Sejas and Guillermo Leon all introduced cigars and gifted each guest with tasty vitolas. The Montecristo New York started the evening while the Aurora 107 Gran Robusto completed the cigar selection. I paired the Nat Sherman Timeless with Espresso sin Azucar.

Earlier we toured the La Aurora factory with Guillermo Leon, Nestor Miranda and Arrielle Brand manager of La Sirena cigars. Tour director “Tito” guided us through veining, color coding, bunching and rolling. We sampled some of the finest tobacco.

Lunch was a full buffet of foods and yes, more cigars!
On our return to Camp David Ranch we slipped away for an hour massage!  Great first day of adventure in Cigar Country!
Tomorrow more excitement and touring of Manuel “Manolo” Quesada’s Matasa factory to enjoy Casa Magna, Fonseca and more!

We’re off to ProCigar 2012 in the Dominican Republic, as cigar enthusiasts gather from around the world to sample the newest cigar blends. Cigar brand managers and retailers converge on Santiago Dominican Republic for four days of aroma, factory tours, parties, tastings, music and food, will complement great cigar experiences from seed to marketplace.
Today is travel day through Miami the hub of premium cigars in the US. Enjoying a cigar with a friend as Sam and Tom make a quick visit to Calle Ocho!
